Life or Theatre is inspired by Charlotte Salomon’s (1917–1943) work of the same name. Salomon’s piece is a dramatized autobiography combining text and painting.  

My work explores what in life is true and what is theatre — for oneself or for others. 


Dancing (2025) is a video focusing on the act of dancing. Is it genuine expression or a performance for others? The work references Pipilotti Rist’s video Ever Is Over All (1997).

The Violist (2025) (video) asks the question of when an action becomes artistic expression.  
 


Semiotics of Baking / The Drummer (2025) (video) combines two videos that address the theatricality of responsibility. It takes inspiration from Martha Rosler’s Semiotics of the Kitchen (1975), Chantal Akerman’s film Jeanne Dielman (1975), and Raakel Kuukka’s Rumpali (The Drummer)  (2003).
